Presider: Paul instructs us in these words: “Because you are
God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with heartfelt mercy,
with kindness, humility, meekness and patience. Bear with one another,
forgive whatever grievances you have against one another.” With these
thoughts in mind, let us offer our petitions to the Father.

4. That conflicts in families be resolved with tolerance, respect, and
dignity for siblings and parents. That through the model of familial love in
the Holy Family all families experience an infusion of God’s love, we

5. That the family of humanity eliminate violence. That husbands and wives
seek help to resolve conflicts. That persons abused are liberated from
demeaning abuse and physical harm. That persons abused are given courage to
seek help, we pray...
6. That families overcome harmful and demeaning competition. That parents
encourage children to seek education, supportive friendships, and a faith in
the dignity and worth of themselves, we pray...
7. That those who died this past week and those who are dying are welcomed

Presider: Father in heaven, creator of
all; you created the earth to bring forth life and crowned its goodness by
creating the family of humanity. In history’s moment when all was ready you
sent your Son to dwell in time, obedient to the laws of life in our world.
Teach us to cherish the sanctity of human love, show us the value of human
life, and help us live in peace with all humanity that we may share in your
life forever. We ask this through Christ our Lord
