Presider: The Lord is our salvation. He promises to hear us when we are in distress. With confidence let us call on the Lord for his help.

Deacon/ Lector/ Cantor: Please respond: “Lord, Hear our prayer”

1.That Pope Leo and Bishop _____ will be blessed with advisors who provide accurate advice and encouragement for engaging and enlivening the faith community, we pray...

2. That our parish community members will be conscious of each other and support each other both in and out of our worship space, we pray...

3. That elected leaders and representatives seek the truth and speak it while campaigning, in their working sessions, and in conversations with media, we pray...

4. That Christians take to heart the instruction of the Lord to care for widows, orphans and the alien residing among us, we pray...

5. That parents who care for children and/or elderly are moved by the Spirit to take care of themselves so that as care givers they maintain their health and endurance for their responsibilities, we pray...

6. That statespersons, diplomats, economists, and human services personnel are attentive to the pleas of the disenfranchised, the persecuted, those in famine and lacking stable residence, we pray...

7. That military personnel are professional in their duties, attentive to those harmed by violence and war, we pray...

8. That teachers search for creative methods to lead their students to a fuller understanding of knowledge and skill for living, we pray...

9. That vulnerable adults and children suffering in abusive relationships have the courage to find shelter and support to live productive, peaceful, and fulfilling lives, we pray...

10. That those who died this week (list here) and those approaching death are encouraged by faith and sacrament. That the intention of this Mass, (list here) _____is (are) remembered in our prayers, we pray...

11. We petition God for our personal needs and for help resolving concerns of hand, mind, and heart: (pause) Let us place these intentions on the altar with the financial gifts offered for ministries in our community, we pray...

Presider: Father, Creator and Sustainer: Be attentive to our concerns. Assist us in overcoming attitudes that deny dignity and worth to any person or to any  being of your creation. Assist each of us to discover in adversity your loving guidance and assistance as we seek to do your will. This we pray... in Jesus’ Name.

Response: Amen.
