PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL

Fourth Sunday of Easter

April 26, 2026

Celebrant: With faith, we offer our prayers…

Deacon/Reader:

1. We ask you, LORD Jesus Christ, our shepherd, to be graced with the courage of Peter and the eleven to stand up for the truth that is Jesus Christ… We pray to the Lord.

2. We ask you, LORD Jesus Christ, our shepherd, bless Pope Leo XIV, our earthly shepherd, as he leads us in the path of holiness… We pray to the Lord.

3. We ask you, LORD Jesus Christ, our shepherd, to speak to the leaders of all nations calling them back to himself that they may work together to bring peace within their own borders and between peoples of different nations… We pray to the Lord.

4. We ask you, LORD Jesus Christ, our shepherd, to open our hearts and show us where we have been robbed of our freedom or lead astray by the lures of the world that we may hear and recognize your voice as the one to follow… We pray to the Lord.

5. We ask you LORD, Jesus Christ, our shepherd, to encourage and to give courage to those you have called to be our shepherds when they are overwhelmed by what is required of them as shepherds.

Celebrant: Loving Father, hear us and with the Light of Your Love, guide us always, as we pray in Your Holy Name, through Christ our Lord.

R: Amen.
