PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL

THIRD SUNDAY OF EASTER

April 19, 2026

Celebrant: With faith, we offer our prayers…

Deacon/Reader:

1. With gladdened hearts and exultant tongues, we pray, knowing that nothing is impossible for God, that he will transform our necessary suffering that we may enter his glory… We pray to the Lord.

2. With gladdened hearts and exultant tongues, we pray, knowing that nothing is impossible for God, for Pope Leo that Jesus may draw ever nearer to him as he witnesses to us of Jesus’ presence in the world… We pray to the Lord.

3. With gladdened hearts and exultant tongues, we pray, knowing that nothing is impossible for God, for the Body of Christ, the church in its own resurrection and witness to the promise of the Holy Spirit working through us, with us and in us… We pray to the Lord.

4. With gladdened hearts and exultant tongues, we pray, knowing that nothing is impossible for God, that we may rightly care for the creation which has God has commended to us – the land, the sea, the sky, the children, the sick and infirm, the dying, the poor in whatever they may lack, the immigrant, the stranger… We pray to the Lord.

5. With gladdened hearts and exultant tongues, we pray, knowing that nothing is impossible for God, urging Jesus to stay with us each step of our journey, no matter how heavy or light… We pray to the Lord.

6. With gladdened hearts and exultant tongues, we pray, knowing that nothing is impossible for God, that the priests and ministers he has called may be strengthened as they recognize and help us to recognize Jesus in the breaking of bread… We pray to the Lord.

7. With gladdened hearts and exultant tongues, we pray, knowing that nothing is impossible for God, that our own hearts may burn so brightly with the love and presence of Christ that we can’t help but set out at once to share the good news.

Celebrant: Loving Father, hear us and with the Light of Your Love, guide us always, as we pray in Your Holy Name, through Christ our Lord.

R: Amen.
