PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL

5th SUNDAY OF LENT

March 22, 2026

 

1. For Your world, Lord, our God, we ask you to raise up leaders who believe and understand their call to serve in the world You love.

 

2. Bless your Church, Lord, and bless Pope Leo, make the voices of your prophets heard now in our time in history. 

 

3. Help those in leadership, Lord, to be brave and to act in ways that honor the life of Your Christ who desires to work in and through us all.

 

4. Show us the way to serve and to act on behalf of the poor and the persecuted in Your world. 

 

5. Forgive our blindness that keeps us from seeing the poor and forsaken in Your world. 

 

6. Make Your Church a beacon of light and help us to raise up the lowly, Your chosen ones. 

 

7. Help us reject the war and terror that seems to deny God’s grace and forgiveness.

 

8. Help us recognize and preach God’s Truth in the world God loves.
