PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL

FEBRUARY 15, 2026

1.        In thanksgiving for Pope Leo as a gift to us and as an example in Christ of integrity rooted in his choice not just to know God’s commands but to willingly be whoever he is called to be and do whatever it takes to embody the wisdom of the LORD in a world of foolishness.

2.        For all Bishops, clergy, and ministers of God’s light. That they might be a witness to us, just as Jesus is, of the saving power of the willingness to honor God’s commandments by living them to the fullest.

3.        For all gathered in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ that each may be blessed by the presence of the Spirit to help us to choose life and love in each moment.

4.        Help us LORD to recognize our own interior dispositions when they lead us into temptation and conflict with your highest good for us. Bend our hearts toward wisdom in these moments that we may choose what is best.

5.        May we be blessed as we walk in the way of the LORD and call upon his help to learn, discern and observe his law with all our heart.
