Presider: Father, through your Word humanity learns the truth of our life. We share in your caring for all creation. In endured suffering we learn of your compassion, mercy, and loving kindness for us.

Deacon/ Lector/ Cantor: Please respond: “Lord, hear our prayer.”

1.That Pope Francis, our bishop __________, clergy, religious, and laity search out the truth of the signs of our times and lead us to loving care for others, we pray

2. That leaders, politicians, and persons of influence make war against corruption and abuse of aliens and persons of poverty, we pray

3. That corporate executives and management respect employees and work to provide livable wages, benefits, safe working conditions, and appropriate training, we pray

4. That medical professionals continue the healing work of Jesus for all persons needing help, we pray

5. That those who have died this week are welcomed into the Kingdom through God’s mercy and compassion, we pray

6. That those who are dying are fortified by the sacraments of anointing, reconciliation, and the Apostolic Blessing, we pray

7. That all Catholic Christians exercise charity and social justice as preparation for liturgy of Word, Worship, Thanksgiving and Communion, we pray

8. That the needs of this assembly for material things, relief of anxieties, and spiritual growth be granted. Let us pause to offer our needs (pause), we pray

Presider: Look on your people, Oh Lord. In your mercy, compassion, and love for us provide the Spirit to guide us in our choices, in our loves, and in just care for the poor, the needy, and those suffering violence. We ask this in the Name of your Son who lives and rules with you in the unity of the Spirit

Response: Amen.
