From
today’s Book of Revelation reading:
The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.”
Let the hearer say, “Come.”
Let the one who thirsts come forward
and the one who wants
receive the gift of life-giving water.
Reflection:
We are a people waiting. While we wait, we want to be Christ’s servants to help
bring about the completion of the kingdom of love, unity and justice he
proclaimed. We both work for that goal and also keep a vigil for the coming of
the Spirit anew into our lives on Pentecost. In our vigil we pray the prayer of
the Book of Revelation, the last words of the New Testament, “Come, Lord Jesus.”
So,
we ask ourselves:
