Presider: We trust in the merciful love of the Lord. His heart rejoices
in our salvation. Let us pray to the Lord who is bountiful to us.

religious, lay leadership, and catechists teach us how to love our enemies and
how to love those who hate us, we pray...
2. That we gathered for worship are aware of God’s
abiding love despite our sins and failures to love others as God loves them, we

3. That Christians and especially our parish support the poor and those on the
margins of society by volunteering, almsgiving, and prayer, we pray...
4. That children learn to imitate adults as they live the golden rule by
treating others as they wish to be treated, we pray...,
5. That professionals caring for the sick and
challenged be encouraged by our parish in their efforts benefiting those needing
help returning to active membership in our community, we pray...
6. That abused, neglected, and trafficked women and children are encouraged by
the Holy Spirit and our Community to seek help and accompaniment for the
struggle beginning a new life of dignity and worth in the image and likeness of
God, free of the manipulations of predators, we pray...
7. That first responders, military personnel, and counselors have the courage
and character to provide assistance to those in distress with kindness and
charity, we pray...
8. That those who died this past week (list here) and those approaching death’s
door are encouraged in faith and welcomed by Jesus. That the intention of this

Presider: Father, may your grace transform
us into tireless cultivators of the seeds of the gospel. May those seeds
transform from within both humanity and the whole cosmos in the sure expectation
of a new heaven and a new earth. We ask this, Lord, of you in the community with
the Word and the Holy Spirit.
